The main characters are a group of rabbits looking to create a new warren, but first they travel a long distance and face many dangers. I wanted to create the feeling of hesitation and then abrupt speed one often sees in rabbits. I also wanted to mimick the pace of the book with the cover, which is basically periods of extreme danger punctuated by periods of peace.

Some of the imagery I created using polaroid transfers. I tried to get a rabbit's-eye-view and I'm pretty sure I entertained several people at the park while trying to achieve that goal!
